Her Grandmother, an Ordained Minister, encouraged Euricka and her Sister 's and Brothers to attend Bible Study with hopes of protecting them from an on going gang violence that had plagued their community. Eventually, this gang violence would spark a new nickname for the City of New Orleans that we still say today "The Murder Capitol."She has commanded a following of loyal fans male and female alike from every corner of the U.S. in all walks of life who've been known to mention that her strong independent stage presence oddly reminds them of being in church. Euricka has interpreted her persona on stage as "Diva Life or "Female Baller."
When first meeting this independent Diva one would not expect her to have humbling characteristics that privately her family and close friends are familiar with.This singing sensation has now gained respect in the Hip Hop community with her music and likeness appearing in countless Hood DVDs and mix tapes. In 2008 Euricka took home the Underground Music Award for Best R&B Female Artist and became 1st place winner at the Annual New York A&R Power Summit.
